Aquavelvet Restaurant Design Scheme

For my Final Major Project I created a restaurant design scheme called Aquavelvet.
Aquavelvet is a contemporary restaurant that offers its clients a unique dining experience and a great day or night out. The space is open and inviting with a feel of luxury and sophistication.
The name Aquavelvet symbolises its beach location with the word Aqua, and an element of luxury with the word Velvet.
The restaurant will attract a fashionable and elite clientele who like to socialise, be seen and have money to spend....
Beach Hut Design

A Beach Hut design, taking influences from Gianni Versace. Based on a traditional beach hut plan and dimensions I have removed the side walls and door to create a relaxed open environment, to be set right on the beach, where guests can enjoy drinks and snacks on a hot summers day.
Boutique Hotel Design

A boutique hotel design based in the centre of Bournemouth at Keystone House.
The hotel has a bar/restaurant on the ground floor, reception and rooms on the second floor, further rooms on the third and on the fourth and final floor is a rooftop bar with panoramic views over Bournemouth gardens.

Furniture Design - Curve Desk

A model of a desk I designed as part of a furniture design project.
The design focuses on aesthetics to create a more attractive looking desk rather than a typical office desk. My design takes inspiration from Art Deco designs.

Le Corbusier, Villa Savoye Model

Villa Savoye 82 rue de Villiers 78300 Poissy France
Le Corbusier designed a minimal flat roofed, large windowed white box, he proclaimed the house would be a machine for living in. He admired the motor car as a perfect marriage of function and design, the house would function as efficiently as a car and be as modern as a car. He wanted the house to accommodate a car. The house is raised on legs and it’s dimensions fits exactly a cars turning circle and has a built in garage.
He believed architecture that used light and space would make people healthier and happier. A reinforced con- crete frame would allow for large windows letting in light and would also free up the interior for open plan living.
This was the first model I have made and was part of a building materials report. My model focuses on the courtyard section of the building and accents the ramp going up to the rooftop.
